After chatting to the guy in question I did Zero API checks or Corp history checks,but instead relied on being tipped off from previous targets.I also allow free access to corp funds after 10minutes.
To be honest your OP doesn't even really make sense,what you have failed to mention is that after successfully seeing through my little attempt at social engineering you neglected to mention to corp and alliance mates that my roles were being dropped and that i was indeed as you put it a 'thief'

All it took was for me to go to sleep,wake up log on and chat about my market investment plans to your alliance (I take from you and spend it on Exotic Dancers and Quafe)and all of a sudden my wallet is blinking and i'm a quarter of a billion up.
I didn't feel the need to stroke my e-peen over this too much as to be honest it wasn't the greatest haul but a quick search of the forums and this post caught my eye.
You sir failed at passing on information which allowed me to continue my streak of corp thefts which have now numbered 3 in 12 days to a total of around 3.2billion Isk and one wormhole + POS.

In the space of 8 hours stole 1 billion Isk worth of raw minerals and a well researched 10 run raven BPC from corp hangar along with everything else in the public access hangar.I also stole 2 command ship books from inside an Orca flying in space along with other random skill books.

Convinced the CEO I was a mute and couldn't speak on teamspeak so it would give an excuse to listen but never speak to them.Within 48 hours was given 1billion Isk cash to purchase new POS equipment for the new wormhole they were moving into.
I also convinced an Orca pilot to let me reprocess all his ore in hold as I had perfect refining skill as well as trading me the raw minerals he had.I then went to the old wormhole they were living in rather than brining the imaginary POS I had bought with the Isk they had given me to their current location and proceeded to eject the contents of the ship array into the POS itself.
I changed the password on the shields and giggled madly as the hulk pilots wonder what the **** was going on in teamspeak.Log off for an hour inside the POS and get bumped out the shields by what im assuming was a password/rights change on relog.
Join the teamspeak server using same name as one of the officers in corp and explain I cant get into the POS and request password from CEO.CEO thinks my voice sounds funny so I explain I have a bad cold and he takes it hook line and sinker.He actually believes he is speaking to a corpie and tells me the password.
I proceed to log multiple alts on,probe the entrance out from inside and run the ships out of the POS toempire.24 hour timer on kick finally runs out so I use an alt to fly to the wormhole and offer to buy the POS and wormhole for my corps use.CEO buys it and we kill him when he starts to unanchor the tower.Claimed wormhole and pos + equipment for our own.
And then you guys..
You post **** on c+p claiming to have caught a corp thief without even telling the whole story.

Im really not mad just find it funny how you call me fail yet I still managed to pull assets out of your alliance AFTER you made your OP.

Woops i did it again......
This time target was The Alpha Company.
Yet again within 20minutes of joining corp ceo gets mail from past targets explaining im a thief.
CEO (Lord Tarrn) has already given me roles at this point and so has to wait 24hours for cooldown.He strokes his epeen muchos after calling me a failure at what i do but yet again another case of CEO not passing on valuable intel to the corp.
Realising that Tarrn had not told corpies about my dodgy nature i wait for him to log off and after some social engineering i obtain half a billion isk to buy a nice shiny new Orca.Obviously an asset which will help the corp in the long run.......(Thanks Steel Boo)
When will the stupidity of these so called leaders stop?
Tarrn if you read this,now you understand why i was suggesting are you a tool.
Anyways keep posted for next target.

Just had the pleasure of talking to the gentleman in question and i use the term gentleman correctly, he tried to apply to my corp so i had a little chat to him and did a background check and looked at his corp history.
Didn't take long to find this thread, was the 1st thing that came up and i didn't look any further.
On asking about this he fessed up straight away, congratulated me on being the 1st person in a corp with brains for a long while and hats off to me.
He explained the corps he targets are normally the stupid yank corps with no brains and fat wallets which he likes to lighten by a few billion.
He is out there people he has many faces and you dont know who they are so beware!!!!
No we haven't accepted him btw. I suggest background checks on all players or you may run into this baby stealing guy in the near future
!!
